  1. In order to use these files, you must be running MicroSoft's Windows 3.1.

  3. To setup Renegade.pif:
  4.  
  5. From the program manager, select "NEW" from the FILE menu item, then click on
  6. "Program Item" and then "OK".
  7.  
  8. For the description, type in whatever you want your icon to say underneath
  9. (ie. 'Renegade Node 1', etc). For the command line, use your full path to your
  10. renegade.pif file (contained within this archive). For the working directory,
  11. type in the your full Renegade home directory path (ie. C:\RENEGADE). Once you
  12. have entered this information, click on "Change Icon...". Once Change Icon
  13. window opens up, click on "Browse..." then find and double click on
  14. Renegade.ico. Lastly, click "Ok" in the 'Change Icon' window and click "OK" in
  15. the 'Program Item Properties" window.

  17. If you didn't use the default C:\RENEGADE directory when you set Renegade up,
  18. you will need to edit RENEGADE.PIF using the Windows .PIF editor (located
  19. in the Main program group) to reflect the correct path. To do this goes beyond
  20. the scope of this document... please refer to your MicroSoft Windows manual.
